June/July 2008

We had Eoin's Christening in June, he looked so cute in his gown and cap and was really good the whole day, he enjoyed all the attention, but we paid for it later when he just wouldn't sleep must have been a bit too exciting!

Andrew, Eoin and I went to Daylesford for a weekend to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary. It was lovely to get away, it's famous there for it's natural mineral water and spas. We enjoyed some walks and eating out. Eoin was great but he's a bit of a home boy, he didn't sleep quite as well as he does in his cot! Jake stayed up at the Lacey farm and was in charge of the ride-on mower, he had a great time!

At the beginning of June we spent the long weekend in Blairgowrie with some friends in a house near the beach. Jake enjoyed kayaking and was pretty good at it. He's getting very adventurous these days, he was off skiing with his friends just a couple of weeks ago too!

Visitors from England

At the beginning of the year we had visitors from England! Cath, Rob, Finley and Keira came and stayed with us for a few weeks. It was great to see them all especially to see how big the kids have grown, they're both very funny and kept us well entertained! We were also happy they could come and meet their new little nephew/cousin.

We dragged them to pretty much every touristy thing we could think of and I think we wore them out by the end of the trip, but it was great for them to pack it all in. Here's a few piccies:

No trip to Australia is complete without a visit to the beach! It started off fairly hot and sunny but we had to make a run for it back to the car when the rain came!

We went to the farm for a BBQ before the return to England so the Laceys could say goodbye to the Grahams!

Ahh, don't they all look so sweet......!
Finley and Aidan were exhausted after running around and wrestling for much of the day.

Back on the case!

Well, sorry for the delay, I said I would use this blog to keep my family up to date with latest news and piccies, but I've been a bit slack as you can see! So here is a summary of what's new and some photos of the ever changing Eoin!

Grandad

It's my Grandad's funeral today and we're very sad that we can't be there, but we're thinking about him and all our family. He was an amazing and strong man who lived life to the full. He was also a very affectionate Grandad and Great Grandad. We'll all miss him.
